Our kingdom Kids volunteers love what they do and you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of kids that will last for all eternity!
There are no qualifications necessary other than having a heart to love God and a desire to work with children. We will train and equip you with all of the resources and materials that you’ll need. “Dive in” today and join the amazing team of Kingdom Kids volunteers. There are many ways to serve, whether you are in the classroom or behind the scenes, God wants to use you to make a difference. Classroom Guide: Guides serve as teachers and shepherd our children to build relationships and encourage them to love and follow Jesus Christ. Little to no preparation is necessary, all the materials are provided, and no experience is needed.
Each age level requires 2-3 volunteers per service to accommodate all of the children. Come join the fun! Youth welcome. Needed on Sundays for the 9:15 and 10:45 service times. Commitment of at least 2x per month. We’ll provide a list of substitutes for the days you can’t be there.
Curriculum Writer: Have a flair for writing? Do you have a heart for the Christian education of our children? If so, we can use your help as we modify purchased Sunday school curriculum to meet our needs. This project could be done from home at your leisure over the summer, with completion by early August.
Bulletin Board Team: Create and set up the designs for the classroom bulletin boards seasonally or corresponding to upcoming events.
Song Leader: Love music? Love little children? Join our music team and help select pre-recorded music to teach to the two through four year olds each week. Find joy in leading these precious young children in songs with simple movement. This need is for the 9:15am service hour. Youth welcome!
Summer Classroom Helper: Give those dedicated Kingdom Kids Guides a break to refresh and energize for the Fall by serving as a classroom helper over the summer.
Kingdom Kids Desk: In this critical position you will be checking-in kids and serving as an information source. Commitment of both services one Sunday a month.
Kids Church Small Group Leader:As a leader- small group, you will help children learn about God through a multi-media curriculum and lead the small Group through planned activities. Serve either, once or twice a month.
Club 56 Leader: As a leader- Teacher you will help children learn about God as you prepare and lead the 5th-6th grade classroom you choose to be in with prepared curriculum. Serve once a month.
Market Place Workshop Leader: As a workshop leader, you have a fabulous outlet for your energy, abilities, gifts and interests. Workshops offer a banquet of choices for sharing your interests that include: Bible games, Storytelling, Drama/Puppets, Art and two future workshops: Science and Video & Life application. Workshop leaders are assigned to one workshop for a month-long rotation. You will be teaching the same lesson to a different class every week for a month. This is a 9 month commitment from September to the end of May at the 9:15 hour
Market Place Shepherd: As a shepherd, you won the precious task of making heart-to-heart connection with kids in your group. You will join with them in understanding prayer; memory verses; and connecting with FBC sponsored missionaries. This is a 9 month commitment from September to the end of May at the 9:15 hour
Awana: Awana is a fun, interactive program on Wednesday nights from 6:15-8:00 pm for children age2 -6th Grade .
We always need volunteers for Awana. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete this form. Here are examples of current needs:
• Small Group Leaders – (Shepherds (#) kids through a night of Awana)
• Station Leaders- (Lead a snack time or craft time)
• Floaters – (Fills different spots each week)
• Administrative Helpers – (Help “behind the scenes” during the night)
As a volunteer, your kiddos are guaranteed a spot in Awana and can register before the open registration date!
