History

“Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.” Psalm 105:5

The first public service of Fellowship Bible Church was on September 14, 2003, but the history of our church goes much further back.  Almost ten years ago Mill Creek Community Church was launched as the first church plant of Olathe Bible Church.  Soon afterward, the leadership at OBC began to pray about planting a church in the community of Gardner.  The timing wasn’t what any of us expected, but eventually the timing was right and here we are!

For the first two years of FBC we were a second campus of Olathe Bible Church, operating under their elder board and pastoral ministry organization.  Having such a rich resource as OBC helping us get started proved to be invaluable.  We were able to purchase 8.75 acres at our current location and begin a wide range of ministries from the very first day.  In the two years since, new leaders have emerged from within FBC to the point where, on September 1, 2006 we became an autonomous church with the full-fledged blessing of Olathe Bible Church.  God’s grace has been truly amazing as we’ve gone from 100 people who left OBC to start this church three years ago to the current size we are today.

Our history gives us a lot to live up to.  We thank God for his sovereign plan and abundant blessings on us and pray that we continue to be a part of His ongoing purpose to draw people of all nations, peoples and languages to Himself.
